The Produced Water Management Facilities operated by Anadarko Petroleum Corp. have implemented a simple, robust and effective oily water treatment process with the smallest environmental footprint. MyCelx Deoiling Systems are a critical component to the produced water handling process. The purpose of the MyCelx Systems are to provide robust and fail safe oil removal while ensuring a consistent and sustainable discharge water quality with less than 1-10 ppm oil in water.

Currently over 15,000 million barrels of produced water has been treated and discharged from the MyCelx Oil Removal System. The water at the discharge of the MyCelx unit is evaporated or recycled per requirements. The unit has provided robust oil removal even during upset oil loading conditions from intermittent operating failure of the primary oil removal processes as can be seen below from the field date ( Primary Tanks, Oil Water Separators and Walnut Shell Filters).
